A meaningful restoration project for our team and our hometown.

Santa Barbara Lighting Company recently had the honor of restoring the historic light fixtures at the Santa Barbara Mission—carefully bringing new life to lighting that has long been part of the city’s architectural history and identity.

Each fixture was thoughtfully restored by hand in Southern California through a detailed process of refinishing, rewiring, repairing, and restoring the original craftsmanship of the pieces. New glass, inspired by the vintage character of the original fixtures, was carefully selected to preserve the timeless warmth and historic feel they have always carried.

The goal was never to make the lighting feel different, but rather renewed—honoring the beauty, history, and craftsmanship that have defined the mission for generations.

For our founder, a sixth-generation De La Guerra whose family heritage is deeply rooted in Santa Barbara, this project carried an especially meaningful connection to the city and its history. To play a role in helping preserve such an iconic and historic landmark was truly an honor for our entire team.
